Elaine Smith (She/Her)

BIO: Elaine Smith Elaine Smith is a native of New York and has been the Executive Director of Farms To Grow, Inc an Oakland-based nonprofit that advocates and provides technical assistance and resources to Black farmers and other underserved farmers since 2014. She is also the producer of the award-winning documentary, Rhythms of the Land, released in 2020.

Elaine has vowed a lifetime of commitment to advocate for Black farmers. Her greatest desire is to reduce land loss in the Black farming community and to inspire the next generation of Black farmers through education and identifying distribution opportunities to foster generational wealth and self-sustainability.
