Simon Wood

Simon Wood has a diverse and extensive work experience. Simon is currently the Head of Chemistry at The Sixth Form College Farnborough. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at CSignum Ltd from July 2020 to August 2021 and from October 2019 to July 2020. Simon also served as the Director of Strategic Solutions at Modini Ltd from February 2020 to August 2021. Simon Wood has experience as a Director at Simon Wood Consulting, a Programme Manager HS2 Land and Property at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd, an Operational Lead at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and a Project Lead (Strategy and Transformation) at Achieving for Children. Simon was also an Acting Programme Lead at the UK Ministry of Defence and a DPhil (PhD) student at the University of Oxford. Additionally, they worked as a Researcher at Illumink, Ltd. Simon Wood has demonstrated expertise in various areas including project management, strategic solutions, performance and operational management, risk analysis, and research and development.

Simon Wood's education history is as follows:

Between 2008 and 2012, Simon attended the University of Oxford, where they earned a Master's degree in Chemistry.

In 2012, they continued their education at the University of Cambridge, obtaining a Master's degree in Photonic Systems Development, a program they completed in 2013.

From 2013 to 2016, Simon pursued a DPhil (PhD) in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford.

Additionally, Simon has obtained several certifications. In October 2014, they achieved a distinction in French ALTE level 2 from the Language Centre at the University of Oxford. In October 2015, they received a merit in French ALTE level 3 from the same institution.

In August 2017, Simon obtained the APM Project Management Qualification Practitioner from the Association for Project Management. Simon further enhanced their project management skills by completing the Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in February 2017.

Simon pursued executive leadership training at the University of Oxford's Oxford Executive Leadership Programme in February 2021. Simon also holds membership in the Association for Project Management, which they obtained in June 2019.
