Major Gifts Officer at Farnsworth Art Museum

Wren Manly currently serves as the Donor Relations Manager at Farnsworth Art Museum, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Wren was Development Manager at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art from December 2022 to November 2023 and served as Director of External Affairs at Indigo Arts Alliance from April 2021 to October 2021. Wren's experience at the Smithsonian Institution spanned from May 2016 to March 2021, covering roles such as Advancement Associate at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Membership and Special Events Assistant, and Membership Assistant at Freer|Sackler, as well as a Development Intern at the National Museum of American History. Wren also gained experience as a Development Intern at the National Building Museum from September 2015 to May 2016. Wren holds a Master's degree in Art and Museum Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Connecticut College, supplemented by study abroad experience with DIS, along with a High School Diploma from Dana Hall School.

Farnsworth Art Museum

The Farnsworth Art Museum offers a nationally recognized collection of works from many of America’s greatest artists. With more than 15,000 works in the collection, there is always something new on view at the Farnsworth. The museum has one of the nation’s largest collections of works by sculptor Louise Nevelson. The Museum has an extensive collection of Maine works by three generations of Wyeths—N.C., Andrew and Jamie—and in a unique partnership with the Wyeth Center for American Art and the Brandywine Museum, has access to more than 7,000 Wyeth works of art.
