Liam O'Connell

Liam O'Connell is a Partner at Farrell Smith O'Connell, with extensive expertise in Admiralty and Maritime Law, Insurance and Criminal Defense, Pollution and Environmental Law, Regulatory Compliance, and Civil Litigation since November 2018. Prior to this role, Liam served as a Senior Compliance Consultant and Legal Consultant at Independent Maritime Consulting Ltd from January 2017, and as Of Counsel at Farrell McAleer & Smith LLP from December 2015 to November 2018, where emphasis was placed on marine insurance and regulatory compliance. Additional experience includes being an Attorney at Liam O'Connell Law, a Legal Service Command Reserve Duty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, and various roles in maritime consulting and legal instruction. Liam holds a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
