Orlando Ribas Fernandes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Orlando is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Fashable, where they developed an AI Generated Fashion IP technology that revolutionizes digital content creation in the fashion industry. Prior to this, they served as the CEO of XnFinity, leading a collaboration agreement with Microsoft to launch a shared Retail Innovation Lab & Incubation. Orlando also worked as a PMO Manager at ISA - Intelligent Sensing Anywhere, specializing in M2M solutions for energy, environment, and gas industries. Additionally, Orlando has held positions as a Project Manager at Critical Software, both in their main company and as a Technical Manager and Project Manager deputy. Orlando has also worked as an IT Consultant acting as IT Director for the Ministry of Petroleum, Republic of Angola, managing internal and external projects with various stakeholders. Orlando has extensive experience in project management, team leadership, and technology implementation, with a focus on achieving project success within defined scope, time, and budget. Orlando has also collaborated on projects in distributed artificial intelligence and robotics and worked as a Software Engineer at ENVC Shipyard.
Orlando Ribas Fernandes has a diverse education history. Orlando completed their MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems from Universidade do Porto from 2005 to 2007. In 2009, they obtained a PGD in Project Management from Instituto Superior Bissaya Barreto. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2005, they pursued a degree in Engineering with a focus on Information Science at Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Felgueiras.
Orlando also participated in various additional certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2012, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT Group. Furthermore, they earned the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the PMI (Project Management Institute) in November 2009.
In addition to their formal education, they participated in training and development programs. In 2003, they attended the Nucleus of Managers with High Potential program at Conservatório de Ciências e Tecnologia. Orlando also undertook a training program called "Formation of Trainers" at the same institution in 2003.
Before pursuing higher education, Orlando completed their Tec degree in Information Technology from Escola Secundária de Santa Maria Maior from 1996 to 2000.
