Christie Shin

Christie Shin is a Full Professor of Creative Technology & Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, recognized with the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities for 2023-2024, and holds multiple Associate Professor roles in various design certificate programs. Christie is an active member of the Figma Educator Advisory Board and leads Friends of Figma Educators, emphasizing innovative design education. As a co-founder of the Design Portfolio Center and DSGN BY D., Christie focuses on enhancing design education and promoting eco-conscious design. Experience includes partnership as Design Director at Cynda Media Lab and prior teaching roles at Pratt Institute and Hofstra University. Christie earned an MFA in Communications Design, specializing in Digital Product Design, and holds additional degrees in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.
