Judith M. Bowens

Judith M. Bowens serves as the Managing Director of the FIT Design+Technology Lab (DTech) at the Fashion Institute of Technology since 2017, where responsibilities include leading the lab's strategic development and fostering collaborations with students, faculty, and industry partners on innovative projects. Prior to this role, Judith worked as an Independent Consultant from 2014 to 2016, specializing in expansion and organizational structure for clients in the beauty, fashion, and retail sectors. Judith's extensive experience at Barneys New York from 1991 to 2013 included positions from Assistant Store Manager to Vice President of Stores, where leadership efforts contributed to the success of over 40 locations and the advancement of over 2,000 employees. Judith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UCLA.
