Mario Cabrera

Mario Cabrera, MPA, CPP, currently serves as the Director of Public Safety at the Fashion Institute of Technology, leading a 185-member department responsible for campus safety operations, including emergency management. Previously, Mario held the position of Deputy Director of Public Safety at Kingsborough Community College, where MARIO established an emergency operations framework and led critical response teams. Mario holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Inspection and Oversight, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management and Fire Science, both from John Jay College (CUNY).
