Sean Bastow

Sean Bastow is an accomplished educational leader and creative professional with extensive experience in the field of media and film. Currently serving as the Head of Department for Creative Practice at the Fashion Retail Academy since October 2025, Sean previously held the position of Curriculum Manager for Digital & Professional Enterprises at Buckinghamshire College Group and Curriculum Manager for Creative Arts & Media at Burnley College. With a strong background in teaching and curriculum development, Sean has also worked as a lecturer and assessor for Boston College’s Foundation Degree in Creative Arts in partnership with the University of Derby. A versatile professional, Sean's experience includes working as a freelance video professional and a lecturer at Boston College. Additionally, Sean has contributed to radio broadcasting at Endeavour FM and has an academic background that includes a Master's degree in Education: Leadership and Management from the University of Derby and a BSc Hons in Film Production Technology from Staffordshire University.
