Tahir Qureshi

Tahir Qureshi has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Tahir currently works at Fasset as the Product Director, where they lead a global product development tribe and manages two squads comprising of developers, product managers, and scrum masters. Tahir'sresponsibilities include overseeing the global development of various products such as on/off-ramp, P2P, Staking, Remittance, and Bundle.

Prior to their current role, Tahir served as the Head of Payments - JazzCash at Jazz from 2020 to 2022. Tahir was responsible for leading the payments division and overseeing the JazzCash operations. Before that, Tahir worked at Karandaaz Pakistan as the Manager Innovation. During their time at Karandaaz Pakistan, they designed, developed, and implemented financial inclusion-focused projects under the innovation program. Some of the notable projects they worked on include digital experiments, the JazzCash App upgradation, institutionalization strategy of E-Credit Scheme, and the digitization of the small merchant value chain.

Tahir also has significant experience in the telecommunications industry. Tahir worked at Mobilink as the Assistant Manager Segments - JazzCash from 2014 to 2017, and at Telenor Pakistan as the Easypaisa Product Executive - Payments/Collections from 2013 to 2014. At both companies, they played key roles in managing and improving payment services, driving revenue growth, introducing new products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Additionally, Tahir has experience in the fields of project management and business intelligence. Tahir worked as a Project Manager - BI Solutions at Royal Cyber Inc. in 2012 and as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Royal Cyber from March to June 2012. Furthermore, Tahir gained valuable financial planning and analysis skills during their tenure at HSBC, where they served as the Assistant Manager MIS, Planning & Analysis. In this role, they were responsible for preparing and managing quarterly/yearly budgets, conducting financial modeling and data analysis, and creating management reporting systems.

Before embarking on their professional career, Tahir briefly worked as the Managing Director at Unplugged Events Management in 2007.

Tahir also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the National University of Science and Technology, which they completed from 2003 to 2007.
