Chris Groer has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting in 1996, they worked as a professional tennis player for the Association of Tennis Professionals until 1999. Chris then transitioned into a role as an Applied Research Mathematician for the US Department of Defense from 2002 to 2008. Following that, they worked as a Research and Development Staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 2008 to 2011. Chris then joined Link Analytics as part of their Research and Development team until 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at KPMG as a Director of Research and Development. Chris then moved on to MapAnything where they held the position of Senior VP of Routing and Optimization from 2017 to 2022. After that, they worked at Salesforce as the VP of Routing and Optimization until 2022. Currently, they are the Chief Product Officer at Fastbreak.ai, a position they have held since October 2022.
Chris Groer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1996. Chris then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Math from the University of Georgia, which they completed in 2001. Chris furthered their education by obtaining a PhD in Applied Math and Scientific Computing from the University of Maryland in 2008.
