Jim Rainville has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jim started their career at Fibex Systems in 1997 and held the role of Software Engineer. Jim then joined Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer in 1999. Jim continued their career at Fibex/Cisco as a Software Engineer, where they maintained and debugged software for a digital loop carrier system. Jim also acted as a team lead for a voice over IP project. In 2002, Jim joined Valo as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented control software for a telephony product. Jim then worked at Alcatel as a Senior Software Engineer, maintaining and troubleshooting the hardware/software interface software on Alcatel's digital loop carrier product. Jim received a merit bonus for their work on redesigning and rewriting the system responsible for alarm reporting and correlation. Jim then joined ENEA as a Senior Systems Engineer, providing pre and post sales support for high availability middleware. In 2010, Jim joined ATG as a Business Solutions Engineer, responsible for demoing products, developing new demos, and helping customers understand ATG's optimization solutions. After Oracle acquired ATG, Jim continued their role as a Principal Sales Consultant, assisting the sales team in pre-sales for the Oracle LiveHelp product and designing software for proof of concept product extensions. From 2015 to 2019, Jim worked at Brightcove as a Solutions Architect, and then as a Senior Solutions Architect. In these roles, they utilized their expertise in architecting solutions and supporting customers. Currently, Jim is working at Fastly as a Sr. Sales Engineer, leveraging their experience to support the sales team.
Jim Rainville attended Sonoma State University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
