Martin Arrieta

Martin Arrieta has diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Martin currently holds the position of Engineering Manager at Fastly since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Sr Site Reliability Engineer at Fastly from April 2020 to April 2022, and as a Site Reliability Engineer from August 2018 to April 2020.

Before joining Fastly, Martin worked at Pythian as a Database Consultant from October 2015 to July 2018. Prior to that, they were associated with Percona where they held the roles of Consultant from July 2013 to September 2015, and Support Engineer from January 2012 to July 2013.

Martin's earlier work experience includes serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Micropagos from August 2009 to December 2011, System Administrator at Handsoft from December 2008 to January 2010, and MySQL DBA at mydeco from August 2007 to June 2008.

In addition, Martin has also worked at eMobile, where they served as the CTO from January 2005 to December 2006, and as a System Administrator from 2004 to 2005. Their career started at Intersys Network Latin America, where they held the positions of System Administrator from February 2002 to February 2004, and Programmer from January 2001 to January 2002.

Martin Arrieta attended UTU from 1997 to 2000, although no degree or field of study was specified. In 2012, they obtained two certifications: MySQL 5 Database Administrator from Oracle in September and MySQL 5 Developer from Oracle in July.
