Mike Godard has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Mike started working as an ER Physician at Person Memorial Hospital in 1998 and continued in this role until the present. In 2010, they also worked as a Physician at Roxboro Family Medicine & Immediate for six years. In 2012, they became the Medical Director at Medi Home Health & Hospice. In 2017, they joined Caswell County Health Department as their Medical Director. In 2018, they took on the role of Regional Medical Director at FastMed Urgent Care and later that same year, they became an ER Physician at USACS Medical Group, LLC. Mike recently became the Medical Director at XL Home Northeast, PC in 2021 and also started working as an OMD at Halifax County EMS, Fire and rescue in 2022.
Mike Godard attended the University of Wisconsin from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Mike then went on to study at the University of Osteopathic Medicine from 1993 to 1997, earning a degree in Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
