Bastijn Ravenshorst MA has extensive work experience in the government and infrastructure sectors. Bastijn currently holds the position of Program Manager of Government Affairs and Network Development at Fastned, where they are responsible for managing government relations and the development of the company's network. Prior to joining Fastned, they worked at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Watermanagement, where they served as Deputy Program Manager of Electric Transport and Coordinating Policy Advisor from February 2019 to September 2021. Bastijn's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Policy Officer at the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science from March 2011 to December 2014, where they guided projects and provided advice in the field of pre-vocational secondary education. Bastijn also worked as a Policy Advisor at the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the EU from September 2010 to March 2011, where they focused on creating job opportunities for Dutch policy officers in the EU and representing the Netherlands in European Council Working Groups.

Bastijn'scareer began with governmental traineeships at the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science - Primary Education Division from September 2009 to August 2010 and March 2010 to February 2010. Bastijn also interned at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Human Rights, Good Governance and Humanitarian Aid Division from March 2008 to September 2008. Before that, Bastijn worked as a Refugee Accounts Analyst and Asylum Procedure Advisor at the Dutch Council for Refugees, Asylum Centre Delfzijl from November 2006 to March 2008.
