Amir Kamandi has been working in the field of table tennis since 2002 when they became a professional table tennis player at the National Olympic Academy of Iran. In 2016, they began working as a Graduate Research and Mentor in the Motor Control Lab at Seoul National University, conducting research on how to improve athletes' performance from the neurological perspective. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of FastPong, a rapidly growing startup in South Korea that is bringing the latest technologies to the world of table tennis.

Amir Kamandi has a diverse educational background. Amir obtained a High School Diploma from Sport Science and Physical Education High School in 2008-2010. Amir then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Science and Management from University of Malaya from 2011-2015. In 2016-2018, they earned a Master's degree in Human Exercise Science from Seoul National University. Additionally, Amir has obtained various certifications, such as a PT (ACE) Personal Trainer from American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness) in December 2014, a Fitness Nutrition Specialist Course Certificate from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in November 2014, Training Pregnant and Post-partum from Fitness Innovations Malaysia (FITM) in September 2014, a Lifestyle Weight Management Specialist from University of Tehran in August 2014, and a NIFS International Sports Academy (NIFISA), Asian Young Sports leader (Sport Science) from National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya Japan in January 2014.
