Lucio Carrara

Lucio Carrara has a wealth of work experience. From 2013 to present, they have served as CTO and Co-founder of Fastree3D, where they have been responsible for the definition of the strategic development of the company and management of R&D activities. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as an IC Design Engineer at Espros Photonics AG, where they designed and verified digital and mixed-signal circuits for CCD and 3D-TOF imagers, developed 3D-TOF pixel architectures and readout schemes, and conducted circuit and system modeling. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2008, they served as a Research Assistant at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where they designed and verified image sensor ICs based on Single-Photon Avalanche Diodes and developed and evaluated radiation-tolerant CMOS pixels for space applications.

Lucio Carrara completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino between 2001 and 2005. Lucio then went on to complete a Master of Science (MSc) in Nanotechnology at Politecnico di Torino, Grenoble INP, and EPF Lausanne between 2005 and 2007.
