Shawn Auberzinski has a diverse work experience. Shawn started their career as an IT Intern at Items International/ Airwalk in 1997 and then worked as an Office Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for three years. In 2000, they became a Consultant and Web Applications Developer at The DotCom Team, LLC. The following year, they joined General Electric (Corporate, ESS/ CBD) as a Consultant, Web Applications Developer. From 2007 to 2007, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at the City of Malden. In 2008, they became a Front End Manager at 303 Cafe. Shawn then worked as a Technical Consultant at ES Research Group, Inc. from 2006 to 2012. Currently, they are a Senior Customer Support Engineer at FastSpring, a company that provides eCommerce and subscription billing solutions.

Shawn Auberzinski completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UMass Boston from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2000, they attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and studied Computer and Systems Engineering but did not obtain a degree in that field.

In terms of certifications, Shawn obtained a certification in SQL for Non-Programmers from LinkedIn in April 2023. Shawn also completed certifications in Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences and Cybersecurity at Work from LinkedIn in June 2020.
