Sean Sherman

Sean Sherman is a Senior Scientist specializing in Cancer Immunotherapy at Fate Therapeutics Inc since February 2021. Prior to this role, Sean held various positions at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, including Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate, where responsibilities included characterizing toxicity in hiPSC-derived neurons and developing high-content screening assays for disease modeling. Sean's research background also includes a Graduate Student Researcher position at UCLA, focusing on human embryonic stem cell survival mechanisms, as well as earlier experience at Quest Diagnostics and Biogen Idec, where extensive laboratory testing and assay development were conducted. Sean holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from UCLA and a B.S. in Toxicology from Northeastern University.
