Barb Vollmer

EVP, Youth Care at Boys Town

Barb has served in this capacity since 2019. She is responsible for the operations of Youth Care programs on the Home Campus and nine affiliate sites across the country. Youth Care programs directly serve 27,000 youth annually through a variety of youth and family service programs. In addition to direct services, Youth Care operates the Boys Town National Hotline and National Training Program.

Barb began her career at Boys Town in 1986 as a Family-Teacher and has worked in a variety of positions with increasing levels of responsibility, including crisis counselor, clinical director, director of internal program audit, and vice president of strategy and youth care administration. Most recently, Barb was senior vice president, governance and strategy where she led the development and implementation of the national strategic plan, worked with the board of trustees, and oversaw all governance functions.

Barb earned her master's degree in human services counseling from Wayne State College.​
