Peter Slater has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Peter started their career at Cobham as a Product Development and Lab Technician, where they gained skills in Solid Works and worked on CAD designs and laboratory testing. Peter then worked at Compass Group UK & Ireland as a Waiter and Bar Staff. Peter later joined Interserve as a Surveyor and Site Manager's Assistant, where they assisted with site management and surveying. Peter continued their work at Interserve as a Site Supervisor, overseeing construction projects at Pirbright ATC with a focus on planning, communication, and technical design.
Peter then moved on to Costain Group PLC, where they served as an Engineering Planner for a proposed Nuclear power plant, coordinating with multiple engineering firms for a large-scale civil engineering project. Peter also worked as a Site Engineer, responsible for planning and managing civil and M&E works, surveying, quality control, and construction method design. Additionally, they held the role of Aerial Solutions UAV Manager, leading the creation, supply chain management, and business development of Remote Piloted Airborne Systems.
Peter later joined SenSat as Head of Partnerships, where they played a key role in supporting construction and transport projects through the use of 3D mapping technology. Peter also worked on optimizing pre-construction planning, design, and bid work. After that, they joined Mott MacDonald as a Digital Transformation Consultant, focusing on driving the digital transformation of infrastructure through partnerships, investments, and tech innovation. Peter then progressed to become the Digital Operating Models service lead and Senior Digital Transformation Consultant, where they further contributed to the digitalization of the infrastructure sector.
Currently, Peter is working at Fathom as a Business Development Manager. Fathom is a global leader in flood and climate risk, providing flood risk data, maps, and models to the engineering sector.

Peter Slater attended Newcastle University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil and Structural Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Epsom College from 2004 to 2009, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
