Matthew Legler

Matthew Legler serves as the Director of Cyber Engineering at FATHOM5 and is the Founder of Applewood Engineering, both roles beginning in March 2024. Previously, Legler held several significant positions at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from May 2014 to February 2024, culminating as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and leading efforts in Afloat Systems Cybersecurity Engineering. Early in their career, Legler contributed to Naval Reactors from September 2001 to May 2014, progressing from Engineer to Branch Head. Legler holds a Master of Science in Engineering Science (Mechanical) from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
