Kuijun(Yulia) Wang has had a varied work experience in the fields of software engineering, machine learning, research, data analysis, and digital marketing. Kuijun(Yulia) began their career in 2017 as a Statistical Assistant at BNU-HKBU United International College, where they supported the generation of statistical reports for the study of social indicators for social integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In 2019, they served as a Research Assistant at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology, where they completed data cleaning for company name disambiguation from 3 different databases. That same year, they worked as a Data Analyst Intern at GBI, where they conducted information collection on 100+ types of drugs and implemented weekly product data specification standardization of about 12000+ items. Additionally, they worked as a Digital Marketing (Tencent Business) Intern at INSIGHT Brand Marketing Group Limited Company (4A), where they identified PV, UV information for weekly report and compiled the guideline and worked with UI design team for the pre-registration page of product 1001 Platform. In 2020, they worked as a Research Practicum at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, where they extracted longitudinal data and applied mixed statistical machine learning methods to show the potential risk factors for cardiovascular disease events. Most recently, they worked as a Research Specialist II (Ressom Lab) at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, where they designed a Machine Learning workflow for Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) based compound fingerprint prediction for metabolite annotation project. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer, Machine Learning at Fathom, where they are designing and building large scale machine learning systems for medical coding.
Kuijun(Yulia) Wang has an extensive education history. From 2015 to 2019 they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Hong Kong Baptist University. In 2018 they completed a Summer Program at University of Westminster, focusing on Working across culture in a globle world. In 2016 they completed a Summer Programe at Hong Kong Baptist University, focusing on Human Resource Management & Critical Thinking.
