Rafa Echavarria

Rafael Echavarria, MBA, CIH (ret), currently serves as Vice President of Business Development & Enablement at Fatigue Science, where responsibilities include providing strategic support to various departments and promoting the impact of sleep on organizational performance and risk management. Previously, Rafael held the position of Industrial Hygiene Manager at Newmont Corporation, leading programs related to industrial hygiene and fatigue risk management. With extensive experience as the owner and managing director of the Latin American consulting firm AREC Consultores, Rafael has managed numerous environmental and occupational health projects throughout Latin America. Additional roles include serving as Global Manager of Occupational Health & Hygiene at First Quantum Minerals and working as a contracted health and safety project manager for Liberty Global Consulting Services. Academic credentials include an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
