Ahmed Shaikh

Ahmed Shaikh, PMP®, has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities. Ahmed has worked as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Fatima Group, where they managed the maintenance of a 120 MW Coal/Biomass Power Plant. Their responsibilities included preventive and corrective maintenance checks, budget management, and procurement.

Prior to that, Ahmed worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at National Engineering Services Pakistan (Pvt) Limited (NESPAK). Ahmed supervised the construction of a 1263 MW RLNG Combined Cycle Power Plant and coordinated with clients and contractors for inspections and quality control. Ahmed also reviewed technical documents and provided necessary approvals and recommendations.

Ahmed also gained experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and Project Engineer at Harbin Electric Company Limited. Their work included rectifying tube leakages, design modifications, and supervision of construction and commissioning activities of power plants.

Ahmed started their career as a Management Associate at FPCL (FFBL Power Company Limited), where they were responsible for the inspection and maintenance of a coal power plant. Ahmed also carried out inspections according to API and ASME standards.

Lastly, Ahmed worked as an internee at Millat Equipment Limited, where they were involved in the manufacturing of transmission components for trucks.

Ahmed Shaikh, PMP® obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their F.Sc degree in Pre-Engineering from Punjab College from 2009 to 2011. Ahmed also holds a Matriculation degree in Science from Divisional Public School from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, Ahmed has obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2022. Ahmed has also completed a certification in Change Management: Roadmap to Planning from LinkedIn, although the specific date of this certification has not been provided.
