Sarah Hanneken

Sarah Hanneken currently serves as Associate General Counsel at The Good Food Institute since September 2023, providing legal counsel to various teams, including Communications and Policy. Hanneken has been a Board Member at Faunalytics since October 2020, focusing on organizational priorities related to animal protection. Previously, Hanneken worked as Legal Counsel at Animal Equality from June 2019 to August 2023, directing farmed animal policy initiatives and addressing legal advertising issues. Prior roles include Of Counsel at Richman Law Group, Attorney and Litigation Fellow at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and various legal and editorial positions early in Hanneken's career. Hanneken holds a Juris Doctor degree in Animal Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a BA in Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
