Kris Church

Kris Church has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. They have worked at Fayette County Public Schools (KY) since 2011, serving as an Associate Principal and previously as an Achievement and Compliance Coach and a Special Education Teacher and Special Education Department Chair. In these roles, Kris has managed special education programs, secured grants, and provided professional development training.

Prior to that, Kris worked at Creation Kingdom as an Assistant Director and a Preschool Teacher, where they were responsible for communication with parents, organizing programs, and implementing curriculum. They also gained experience as a Special Education Resource Room Teacher at Southern Elementary School.

In the earlier years of their career, Kris worked in the public relations and marketing field. They held positions at Edelman as a Senior Account Executive, Account Executive, and Assistant Account Executive. They also worked at The Estopinal Group as an Assistant Account Executive, and at Beuerman Miller Fitzgerald and the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana as an intern.

Kris Church completed their Bachelor of Science in Management with a focus on Marketing & Communications at Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business from 2003 to 2007. In 2005, they also took courses in Business & Public Relations at Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. They later pursued a Master's Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning & Behavioral Disabilities (P-12) at Georgetown College, from 2010 to 2011. In 2019, Kris earned an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in School Administration/Principalship P-12 from the University of the Cumberlands Graduate and Online program. They have obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate for School Leadership-Principal-Level 2 from EPSB in June 2019 and a Professional Certificate for Teaching Exceptional Children--Learning And Behavior Disorders, Grades Primary Through 12 (Rank II) from the Education Professional Standards Board in 2011.
