Wendy Young is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and administration. Currently serving as a 5th grade Teacher and Principal at Fayette County Public Schools since August 2008, Wendy also holds the position of District 2 Elected School Board Member for Scott County Schools since March 2022. Additionally, Wendy has contributed as an Associate Trainer at Kagan Publishing and Professional Development since January 2020. Previous experience includes role as a Highly Skilled Educator at the Kentucky Department of Education and as an Elementary School Teacher at Scott County Public Schools. Wendy Young earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with a focus on K-12 Leadership from Grand Canyon University, alongside a BS and MA in Elementary Education from Georgetown College.
