Jon Fausnaugh currently serves as a Coroner’s Investigator at the Fayette County Coroner’s Office since February 2024. Prior to this role, Jon spent over three decades at the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, retiring as a Detective Sergeant in September 2024, with earlier positions including Patrol Sergeant and Deputy Sheriff. Jon's extensive law enforcement career began in November 1978 at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, where responsibilities escalated from Correctional Officer to Investigator, Unit Manager, and Correctional Captain, culminating in a retirement in 2008. Jon’s educational background includes studies at Hocking College and Southern State Community College.
