Douglas K. Alder

Douglas K. Alder is a Vice President at Fayez Sarofim & Co. Mr. Alder joined the Firm in 2002 as an Associate, after completing an internship in the summer of 2001. He is an ex officio member of the Investment Committee, serves as the sector leader for the financials industry and is currently responsible for research of the media, internet, payment and insurance industries. He is also a portfolio manager for a variety of institutional and high net worth clients.

Mr. Alder received a M.B.A. with Distinction from the University of Texas in 2002, where he was a Sord Scholar and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 1997, where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to joining Fayez Sarofim & Co., he was employed with ExxonMobil Corporation as a Project Manager.
