Cecilia Bylesjö is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in program design, evaluation, and implementation focused on human rights, governance, and gender equality. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist/Advisor at FBA since May 2018, Bylesjö previously held significant roles at The Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights, including Director of Programs and Special Adviser, where responsibilities encompassed multi-party systems and strategic planning for Somalia. Additional experience includes program management at the National Democratic Institute and advisory roles at International IDEA and The Carter Center, emphasizing constitutional building, peace, and women's political participation. Bylesjö holds advanced degrees in Development Studies and Political Science from Stockholm University and Umeå University.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)
The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
