Christian Wohlert

Christian Wohlert currently serves as Deputy Head of Mission in Political Affairs at Regeringskansliet, Utrikesdepartementet, since August 2024. Prior experience includes being a member of the Folke Bernadotte Academy's roster as an Election Observer since June 2018, with participation in international election observation missions in Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina. From September 2015 to January 2024, Christian held multiple roles at Regeringskansliet, including First Secretary at the Permanent Representation of Sweden to the UN, focusing on African affairs, climate, and multilateralism. Earlier experiences include positions at Sida, Europaportalen, and the Swedish Association of International Affairs, as well as an academic background with degrees from Uppsala University and other institutions in journalism and political science.
