Linda Borgheden is a legal and human rights expert with extensive experience in security sector reform and humanitarian law. Currently serving as a Specialist in the Security Sector Reform Program at Folke Bernadotteakademin since January 2017, Linda has held various positions including Legal Advisor at Röda Korset and Advisor and Programme Manager at NIRAS International Consulting. Previous roles encompass work as a Subject Matter Expert on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law with the Swedish Armed Forces, a Human Rights Officer with the United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq, and positions within the UN system focusing on human rights and program coordination. Linda's educational background includes an LL.M. in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from Lund University, complemented by studies in criminology.

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
