Desk Officer - Youth, Peace And Security at FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

Lucia Prati currently serves as a Desk Officer for Youth, Peace and Security at the Folke Bernadotte Academy since March 2022. Prior to this role, Lucia worked as a Coordinator for International Development Cooperation at the National Council of Swedish Youth Organisations from August 2020 to February 2022 and completed a traineeship at Radiohjälpen in early 2020. From 2012 to 2019, Lucia operated as a self-employed interpreter, translator, and language teacher, also contributing to event management during a traineeship at the University Residential Centre of Bertinoro in 2012. Academic pursuits include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dalarna University (2019-Present) and a Master of Arts in Conference Interpreting from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna (2014-2017), among other qualifications in Middle Eastern studies and intercultural mediation.

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE.
