Nisha D'Cunha Nilsson

Nisha D'Cunha Nilsson is an experienced HR and cross-cultural consultant with a diverse background in international organizations. Currently serving as a Desk Officer at the Folke Bernadotte Academy since February 2018, Nisha specializes in the secondment of Swedish experts to UN and EU peace operations. Previous roles include HR Consultant at Wise Consulting AB, where responsibilities encompassed Nordic labor law and employee relations, and HR Specialist at ID Entity AB, focusing on HR operations and global mobility. Nisha has also worked as a Cross-Cultural Freelance Consultant, providing training for expat managers and multicultural teams. Earlier experience includes acting as the Head of the Staff Administration Unit at the International Criminal Court and holding various HR roles at the United Nations. Nisha holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College.

FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy)

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE.
