Taleb Sobeh currently serves as a Project Manager at FBA (Folke Bernadotte Academy) since November 2017. Previously, Taleb held the position of Team Leader at Migrationsverket from September 2014 to November 2017. Taleb also worked as a Liaison Officer with the Temporary International Presence in Hebron/FBA from November 2011 to July 2013, coordinating with security forces and civilian authorities while assessing violations related to the Hebron Agreement and Human Rights. Additionally, Taleb was an Arabic-speaking observer for the WANA project at International IDEA from May 2011 to November 2011 and served as an Asylum Case Officer at the Swedish Migration Board from September 2009 to April 2011. Taleb began an academic career as an Arabic lecturer at Uppsala University from January 2009 to September 2009. Taleb holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from Uppsala University, obtained between 2004 and 2009.

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) is the Swedish government agency for peace, security and development. FBA supports international peace operations and international development cooperation. The agency conducts training, research and method development in order to strengthen peacebuilding and statebuilding in conflict and post-conflict countries. We also recruit civilian personnel and expertise for peace operations and election observation missions led by the EU, UN and OSCE. The agency is named after Count Folke Bernadotte, the first UN mediator. Here on Linkedin we share the latest news from our activities.
