Application Engineer at FBGS

Ji-Ying Huang has work experience as an Application Engineer at FBGS - Tailored Fiber Optic Sensing Components & Solutions since December 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Intern at FBGS from July 2014 to September 2014. In this role, they conducted experiments to validate the stability of fiber Bragg gratings under different temperatures and used a mathematical model to predict the long-term performance of the gratings. Additionally, Ji-Ying Huang has experience as a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University from September 2010 to September 2012.

Ji-Ying Huang began their education journey in 2007 at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Optical Fiber Communication. Ji-Ying completed their studies in this field in 2009.

In 2012, Ji-Ying Huang continued their education by simultaneously enrolling in three different universities. At the University of St Andrews, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Photonics, which they completed in 2014. Additionally, they attended both the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University, where they also pursued Master of Science degrees in Photonics, completing both in the same year.

Ji-Ying Huang then proceeded to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Engineering from UMONS, where they engaged in academic research and study from 2014 to 2019.
