Donald J. Seibel

Donald J. Seibel is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer of FBL Financial Group, a position they have held since August 2012. Donald was previously the Vice President (VP) of Finance from January 2007 to August 2012, the Vice President of Accounting from January 2002 to January 2007, and the GAAP Accounting Vice President from January 1998 to January 2002. Donald has been with FBL Financial Group since 1996, starting in the Accounting department.

Donald has played a key role in the financial success of FBL Financial Group. Donald was instrumental in leading the company through the Great Recession and ensuring its financial stability. Donald has also helped FBL Financial Group grow and expand its operations, most recently through its acquisition of American Equity Investment Life Holding Company in 2017.

Donald is a certified public accountant (CPA) and earned their bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iowa State University.

Donald J. Seibel completed their BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University.
