Mert A. Merdim

Mert A. Merdim has a diverse work experience in the field of art direction and illustration. Mert A. is currently working as a Creative Director at FCB Artgroup, where they have handled various projects for clients such as TGA, Türkiye Tourism Promotion & Development Agency, GoTürkiye, T. C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, Divan Brasserie, Divan Pub, Lokanta by Divan, Maromi by Divan, Kokoa, Saat&Saat, Viessmann, Çalık Holding, and Nurol GYO. Prior to this role, they were a Creative Group Head - Art Director - Illustrator at FCB Artgroup, where they worked on projects for clients such as TGA, Türkiye Tourism Promotion & Development Agency, GoTürkiye, T. C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı, Divan Brasserie, Divan Pub, Lokanta by Divan, Maromi by Divan, and Kokoa.

Before joining FCB Artgroup, Mert worked as a Senior Art Director & Illustrator at Happy People Project from 2017 to 2022. Previously, they served as a Senior Art Director & Illustrator at Leo Burnett - Istanbul from 2014 to 2017, where they worked on projects for clients such as Tofaş Türk Otomobil A.Ş., FIAT, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Deichmann, Samsung Beyaz Eşya, Diageo-Mey, Tekirdağ Rakısı, Johnnie Walker, Borsa İstanbul, and BES (Bireysel Emeklilik Sistemi).

Earlier in their career, Mert held the position of Senior Art Director & Illustrator at Dentsu from 2008 to 2014. Mert A. also worked as a Senior Art Director & Illustrator at REKTA / Ketchum - Istanbul from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they had roles as a Senior Art Director & Illustrator at Euro RSCG 4D and EURO RSCG from 2006 to 2006, and Art Director & Illustrator at EURO RSCG and EURO RSCG - KLAN from 2004 to 2006. Mert began their professional journey as a Junior Art Director & Illustrator at RPM Radar CDP Europe in 2002 and interned at Milliyet in 2000.

Mert A. Merdim began their education in 1996 at T.C. İstanbul Anadolu Güzel Sanatlar Lisesi, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design. Mert A. completed their studies there in 1999. Mert A. then went on to study at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts from 1999 to 2004, earning another Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design.

In addition to their formal education, Mert A. Merdim has obtained additional certifications. In January 1994, they completed the Melih Kibar Müzik Atölyesi program. Furthermore, in February 2023, they obtained the T.C. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Usta Öğretici Kimliği certification from Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı.
