Paul Hanlon has a diverse range of work experience in marketing, strategy, and communications. Paul currently holds the role of Group Strategy Director at FCB/SIX. Prior to this, they worked at the City of Edmonton in marketing and communications. At FCB/SIX, they served as Director of Strategy and was responsible for developing brand plans, creative strategies, and conducting consumer research. Paul has also worked in education, teaching courses on Twitter marketing at George Brown College Continuing Education and advertising campaign development at George Brown College. Earlier in their career, Paul worked at BBDO Toronto as Director of Brand Strategy & Content and Communications Planner. Paul has also worked as a freelance brand strategist, consulting for global brands and helping them with communications planning and understanding the media landscape. Additionally, Paul has experience as a brand strategist at Proximity Canada and as a consultant at Accenture, where they focused on communication planning and technology solutions.
Paul Hanlon attended Queen's University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honours (BAH) degree in Film Studies. From 2005 to 2007, they studied at York University, specializing in Communication and Culture Studies but did not complete a degree.
