Shaminda Samaraweera

Shaminda Samaraweera is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Group Chief Financial Officer at FCI Group since August 2021, Shaminda previously held the same title at SriLankan Airlines Official from April 2019 to August 2021. With a background as Chief Financial Officer at Etisalat Lanka (Private) Limited from June 2016 to April 2019, and as Head of Commercial Finance at British American Tobacco from June 2012 to June 2016, Shaminda has demonstrated expertise in financial management and strategic planning. Earlier experience includes the role of Senior Manager - Corporate Finance & Management Accounting at Dialog Axiata PLC from July 2011 to June 2012. Shaminda’s educational qualifications include degrees from the University of Moratuwa, North Dakota State University, and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
