Rene de Groot has had extensive work experience in the media industry. Rene began their career in 1999 at De Telegraaf as a Product Manager for E-commerce. From there, they worked at various companies and held positions such as Marketing Manager at Quote Media, Interim Product Manager at Transavia Airlines, and Manager of Online Marketing at Uitgeversmaatschappij De Telegraaf. In 2007, they joined Telegraaf Media Groep as a Senior Consultant in Crossmedia. In 2008, they became the Crossmedia Consultancy Director at TMG, where they led a team responsible for creating and managing complex omnichannel marketing concepts. In 2017, they worked as a Crossmedia Consultant at Media Reverse before joining FD Mediagroep in 2019. At FD Mediagroep, their roles have included Senior Account Manager Crossmedia and Senior Account Manager for Mediabureaus.
Rene de Groot pursued an education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1991 to 1993, where they studied Economics. Following this, they attended Inholland University of Applied Sciences from 1993 to 1997 to study Marketing & Communication.
