Dirk Sahlmer

Dirk Sahlmer is a Partner at FE International, Inc. since October 2025, previously serving as Head of Origination, M&A Manager, Associate, and Analyst at saas.group from January 2020 to September 2025. Dirk has also held a position in VC Investments at TS Ventures and co-founded carlotta from July 2018 to December 2019. Additionally, Dirk worked as a Research Assistant in Vehicle Aerodynamics at FKFS and as a Homologation Engineer for Vehicle Emissions Testing at ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG. Earlier experience includes a Test Driver role for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems at Elektrobit and a Quality Engineering Internship at Porsche. Dirk holds a Master of Science in Electric Mobility from the University of Stuttgart, a Summer School certificate in Chinese Language/Machine Learning from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund, and completed Siemens Professional Education as a Mechatronics technician.
