Charlotte Vermeulen started their work experience in 2010 as a Project Manager at Accenture, where they supervised and coached a team in gathering requirements and building a Collective Platform for a collective impact project called Talent2Connect. Charlotte also had general coordination responsibilities and served as the contact person for stakeholders. In 2018, they were hired by Fedasil as the Responsable du Project Management Office. Their main objectives included developing project management methodology, advising project teams, standardizing methodologies, and monitoring project performance. Charlotte also had additional responsibilities for implementing a document management system and validation workflows for the organization.

Charlotte Vermeulen has a Master's degree in Business Engineering (Ingénieur Commercial) from Ichec Brussels Management School, which they obtained from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, they attended WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2007 to 2008, although no degree or field of study is specified. Prior to that, they attended Collège Sainte-Marie (Mouscron) from 1999 to 2005, again without a specified degree or field of study. Charlotte Vermeulen also holds several additional certifications, including Certification de connaissance linguistique - Article 12 - Néerlandais B2 obtained from SELOR in May 2019, MECOMS™ Business Consultant obtained from Ferranti Computer Systems NV in October 2012, and Prince2 obtained from APMG in June 2012.
