Jonathon Maples

Jonathon Maples is a skilled engineer with a focus on new product development in the ammunition sector, currently serving as a New Product Development Design Engineer I at Federal Premium Ammunition since May 2019. Key accomplishments include designing and testing prototype cartridges for the Hammer Down rifle line and optimizing performance for a new type of ammunition. Prior experience encompasses roles in academia as a Learning Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, instructing students in physics, as well as extensive military and aviation expertise from positions at various defense contractors and the United States Marine Corps, where responsibilities included flight instruction, engineering support, and quality assurance in aircraft maintenance. Jonathon holds a degree from the University of Minnesota and completed studies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
