Susan Finnegan

Susan Finnegan is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Strategist at the Federal Aviation Administration since 2007, Susan has designed and implemented award-winning campaigns to enhance safety culture and employee engagement among the agency's workforce of over 50,000. Prior to this role, Susan worked as a Communication Strategist Consultant for Northrop Grumman Corporation, supporting high-level FAA leadership in crafting impactful messages for a wide range of audiences. Experience in the field also includes positions at SAIC, TRW, and Merrill Lynch, where contributions focused on public outreach, risk communication, and marketing initiatives. Susan holds a Master's degree in International and Intercultural Communication from American University and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Arizona State University, alongside various certifications in leadership and management.
