Joe Watkins

Joe Watkins, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, has extensive experience in information security and risk management. Joe served as the Chief Information Security Officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, where they directed and set strategy for the Information Security, Business Continuity, IT Governance/Risk/Compliance, and Records Management teams. Prior to that, they were an Information Security Officer at SunTrust, where they played a key role in developing and enforcing information security policies and procedures. Joe also performed risk assessments for applications, operating systems, and networks. Joe has also worked as a Technology Risk Consultant at Arthur Andersen, where they conducted security reviews and provided analysis for various clients. Joe started their career as a Software Developer at Genline Systems Inc, where they programmed and maintained the company's network infrastructure. Joe also held positions as a Network Administrator at Berry College and a Software Developer at Browstone Research Group. Joe began their career as a Network Technician at the Georgia Department of Human Resources.

Joe Watkins, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Decision Science with a focus on Computer Science, Business Management, and Math from Berry College. Joe also has minors in Philosophy and Political Science. Joe has obtained several certifications, including the Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) also from ISACA.
