Armen Baghdasaryan is an accomplished professional in financial risk management, currently serving as a Model Risk Manager at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines since September 2008, where responsibilities include leading model validation for various financial models and managing a team of analysts focused on market risk analysis. Prior roles at the bank include AVP/Manager of the Market Risk Analysis group and lead analyst positions, emphasizing quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and cross-departmental collaboration. Before joining the bank, Armen was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology and worked at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Armenia, where duties included financial modeling for international loans and managing economic policy analysis. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Yerevan State University, and the Public Administration Academy of Armenia, with a strong foundation in quantitative finance, aerospace engineering, mathematics, and public administration.
