Fornia Wong, CFA has over 20 years of work experience in various financial roles. Fornia started as a Financial Analyst at FedEx Ground in 1994. Fornia then worked at Advanta Corporation as a Treasury Finance professional, where they developed quantitative analytics for risk management and securitization efforts. In 2000, they joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle and held several positions, including Market Risk Officer and Model Risk Officer. During their time at the bank, they headed the market risk management function for a $40 billion balance sheet and led the implementation of the Dodd Frank Stress Test. In 2015, they joined HomeStreet Bank as the First Vice President and Corporate Treasury Director, overseeing ALCO governance, liquidity risk management, and model validation. Currently, they are the Senior Vice President and Model Risk Officer at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, responsible for managing model risk for an $80 billion loans and investments portfolio.
Fornia Wong, CFA, has a diverse education history. Fornia attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2014, where they completed the Executive Program for Women Leaders. Additionally, Fornia received their MBA in Finance and MS in Management of Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh. Fornia is also a CFA Charter Holder. Furthermore, Fornia has pursued further education at the University of Washington, specializing in the Pacific Coast Banking School.
