Shayna Mohammad-Ruffino has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Contracts Legal Intern at RMA Land Construction, Inc. Shayna then went on to serve as a Judicial Extern for Judge John A. Houston. In 2015, they worked as a Marketing/Proposal Coordinator at Strategic Creations. In 2016, they gained experience as a Summer Associate at Shulman Hodges & Bastian LLP. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of San Diego School of Law and also joined Nortek as a Corporate Counsel Law Clerk. Shayna continued to expand their legal experience by working as a Legal and Compliance Intern at Artivest in 2018. In 2020, they became a Venture Counsel at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and in 2021, they progressed to become a 4th Year Associate at Goodwin. Their most recent position is as an Associate General Counsel, Senior Director at the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, starting in 2022.
Shayna Mohammad-Ruffino has a strong educational background in business and corporate law. Shayna obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of San Diego School of Law from 2015 to 2019, specializing in Business and Corporate Law Concentration. Additionally, they pursued a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a Corporate Finance Concentration from the University of San Diego Graduate School of Business Administration between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of San Diego from 2011 to 2014. In December 2019, they obtained their admission to the California State Bar, demonstrating their legal expertise.
